This cross stitch pattern features a natural history museum filled with strange and frightening animals from the prehistoric past. The design includes an index with information about the featured creatures. All of the animals in the museum represent real extinct species. The artwork incorporates scientifically-accurate details about the appearance and behavior of these incredible animals, and also adds some creative touches to fill in the gaps. 

Also included is a separate file with the pattern broken into sections from the stitch along. Please refer to that file if you want to stitch the museum in the original order that the animals were released.

The skill level of this design is advanced beginner/intermediate. There are a lot of color changes and some back stitching.

The model was stitched using two strands of floss over two threads of 36-count “Royal Haven” lugana by Barefoot Needleart.

The piece will look best stitched on a light/medium gray or neutral fabric.
