Welcome to the “Christmas Monsters” ornament mystery stitch-along!

This stitch-along features four ornament patterns, each with a different legendary Christmas monster in a whimsical holiday scene. The ornaments may be stitched independently or grouped together using the included frame. They can be done in any order. The pattern contents will be kept secret until each section is released. Purchasing this listing gives you access to the entire stitch along.

Pattern Release Schedule

Ornaments will be released every two weeks starting on November 15^th

October 19^th: Pre-sale and (optional) frame release

November 15^th : Ornament #1

November 29^th : Ornament #2

December 13^th : Ornament #3

December 27^th: Ornament #4

Release Times by Time Zone:

US and Canada West Coast (PST): 11:00 am

US and Canada East Coast (EST): 2:00 pm

London, UK (GMT): 7:00 pm

Berlin, Germany (CET): 8:00 pm

Sydney, Australia (AEDT): 6:00 am (next day)

Important: There are two ways to access the pattern releases.

1) Each pattern will be emailed to you. If you did not include an email address in your note to seller, the patterns will be sent to the email address you used to make the purchase.

2) Each pattern will be uploaded to a password-protected page on the Lola Crow website by 11 am PST on the release date. See the "Pre-stitch instructions" file for details

If stitching as ornaments:

14/28 count

Final size: 3.7 x 3.7 inches, 9.4 x 9.4 cm

Hoop size for framing: 4 inches

16/32 count

Final size: 3.25 x 3.25 inches, 8.3 x 8.3 cm

Hoop size for framing: 4 inches

18/36 count

Final size: 2.9 inches x 2.9 inches, 7.6 x 7.6 cm

Hoop size for framing: 3 inches

If stitching with the frame:

Stitch count: 125w x 158h

An optional frame is included for those who prefer to stitch the ornaments together as one composition. Fabric size recommendations include 2.5 inch margins. Adjust if you prefer smaller or larger margins.

Final size: 8.9 x 11.3 inches, 22.7 x 28.7 cm

16/32 count

Final size: 7.8 x 9.9 inches,19.8 x 25.1 cm

18/36 count

Final size: 6.9 x 8.8 inches, 17.6 x 22.3

The skill level of the patterns is advanced beginner/intermediate. There is a lot of detail in a small area, a little bit of back stitching and a handful of 3/4 stitches.

The recommended fabric is black Aida. The sample was stitched on 18 count, using two strands of floss and framed in 3 inch hoops.
